Book Design
Idiosyncratic Sex

This project involved designing the layout and cover for a book on Martine Gutierrez, a Guatemalan-American artist known for exploring identity, sexism, and beauty standards through conceptual photography, film, and music. The goal was to visually engage readers with her artistic journey and creative process.

The design was inspired by Gutierrez’s work “Plastics, Brigitte”, reflecting key themes of her career. To highlight the commodification of women, the barcode was placed on the front cover, while the title appears on the back, emphasizing her use of powerful imagery over words.
